We have been involved in enough weddings now to know that wedding transport is probably one of the last things to organise on a couples to do list. We get it – its not the most exciting or necessarily fun part of the big day – but with the increasing number of couples saying their I Do’s on the Sunshine Coast, its definitely not something you want to risk leaving till the last minute.

The Sunshine Coast is fast becoming one of the most popular wedding destinations, and it’s no surprise really with its perfect combination of scenic coastal vistas back-dropped by mountain ranges offering quaint rustic hinterland villages.

In the meantime, here are our tips to help make transport organisation that much easier:

• Give your guests a select/small number of pick up points.
  • You could try and please everyone by offering to pick up from every hotel/airbnb but what often happens is due to the distances being covered, guests will be need to be collected up to 2 hours early to ensure they make your big moment!
• Delegate someone as the wedding transport coordinator.
  • On the big day the last thing you want is calls from our Drivers asking why no-one has made it to the pick up point. Delegate this job to a friend or family member that can usually sort it out without stressing you.
• Confirm with your venue about when they need everyone out.
  • As much as you may want to party into the early hours of the morning, there are many venues that need everyone off the premises by as early as 10-11pm. Make sure this is confirmed and advised to the Driver
• Provide a recovery pack for guests on their trip back home.
  • A bottle of water and snack can be very much appreciated, especially on a long drive home after the wedding.
• Book the bus for your wedding photos.
  • If your photos are being taken offsite then dont forget you can also book a mini-bus which can fit the bridal party as well as the photographer and their equipment.
